Wellington Ritz Theatre

Since its Grand Opening in October, 2007, the Wellington Ritz Theatre has offered a wide variety of live performances, bringing superior talent in classical music, folk music, Broadway tunes, and much more.

This dedication to top quality entertainment has been recognized throughout the area.  In April, 2008, the Wellington Ritz Theatre received the prestigious “Special Award” at the annual Golden Nail Awards Gala in Amarillo.

Past Events

Every seat in the Ritz Theatre was filled at the opening gala for the Amarillo Little Theatre production of “Sweet Dreams, Peggy Sue”. 

The popular Michael Martin Murphy was another sell-out performance on the “Live at the Ritz”schedule.

2008 started with a bang. The talented Payton Kane and friends, provided and outstanding New Years Eve performance.

The inaugural season of the Sunday Afternoon Concert Series at the Ritz was a success featuring classical performances of opera, a string orchestra, and a piano concert. At Christmas time, all ages enjoyed a fun choral show.  In the spring, the audience was delighted to experience a dance orchestra playing Dixieland Jazz and big band music from the 1930’s to the 1950’s.
